Fume Cupboards & Air Services
Ducted Fume Cupboards with Burdinola
The Burdinola ventilation system is one of the most advanced at the present time. It combines technology and techniques which achieve the maximum possible level of safety with minimum energy consumption, without forgetting user comfort.
To do this, the PLC-managed system controls air extraction and impulsion from the laboratory, maintaining a differential at all times which ensures low pressure in the laboratory with regard to the annexed areas.
Additionally, an HMI screen gives the operating parameters for each of the ventilated elements (fume cupboards, arms, cabinets, air impulsion and additional extraction), in addition to room conditions (temperature, humidity and pressure).
Ductless Fume Cupboards from Cruma
The ductless filtration fume hoods included in the Plug&Play range are ideal for eliminating contaminating gas and/or solid particles/aerosols from the work space simply and efficiently. Safe, efficient and cost-effective, these protect both the user and the environment.
The range is already assembled on delivery (just unpack, install the filters and plug in) and all the models are equipped with the new filtration system, developed and patented by Cruma (Invention Patent), to retain the contaminating gas and fumes generated on the inside thus constantly renewing the air inside the laboratory.

Personnel safety and environmental protection
Apart from completely protecting the person handling the material inside the cabinet, the chemical toxins produced are not released to the outside but remain inside the cabinet thanks to the filtration system formed by a variety of activated carbon filters.
Flexible
These can be used in areas where it is difficult to extract contaminated air, such as the lower floors of buildings, and they can be placed in different locations, which it means that they can be easily relocated if needed.
Economic savings and Easy to Set-Up
No expensive works are necessary to install conduits to extract the gas to the outside which means there are no additional costs and no need to interrupt a laboratory working at full capacity.
Energy Savings
Unlike traditional extraction hoods, our fume hoods do not use the air conditioning equipment inside the laboratory, which substantially reduces energy costs. The aspirated air is not expelled outside but recirculated back into the laboratory free from contaminating substances.
Laminar Flow Cabinets from Cruma
To ensure the reliability of the tests, it is essential that the work carried out inside the cabinet does not become contaminated. To create an environment that is safe and particle-free, the vertical laminar flow cabinets we manufacture produce a stream of Class ISO 5 sterile air. This air passes through a H14 HEPA filter (manufactured pursuant to Standard EN-1822) at a constant speed, travelling downward through the cabinet in a vertical laminar flow and producing sterile air, protecting the product from external contamination and possible cross-contamination between samples.
The cabinets that are equipped with our filtration system, which has a minimum efficiency rate of 99.995% for 0.3 µm particles in the upper part of the filter and an extraction rate of 100% as regards the air flow to the outside.

Horizontal Laminar Flow Cabinets from Cruma
Class ISO 5 horizontal laminar flow cabinets (former class 100) are ideal for jobs where it is necessary to ensure the products are protected from external contamination and cross-contamination. Thanks to the specific way the side walls, located inside the inner perimeter of the filter, are assembled it is possible to prevent any contaminants that may be present from entering the work area through the filter frame thanks to the Venturi effect. The air collected from the environment is prefiltered using polyurethane at high weight efficiency and, pushed by the fan engine to the retention plenum, it then passes through the absolute filter and is released into the work area. The air emerges from the H14 HEPA filter located in front of the operator, moving in a compact, laminar fashion creating a Class ISO 4, hence sterile, work space and making sure no contaminating particles are close to the product being handled.
